As an electronic device, LED display screen must have a certain level of waterproof performance. In the LED display housing protection level table 1, we can see that the waterproof levels of LED display housings are divided into different categories for indoor and outdoor use.The waterproof level outdoors is generally higher than indoors, because outdoor LED displays are more likely to encounter rainy days or require waterproofing than indoor LED displays.

For example, the protection level of the display screen is IP54, IP is the marking letter, the number 5 is the first marking number, and 4 is the second marking number.The first marking number indicates the level of protection against contact and foreign objects, the second marking number indicates the level of protection against water ingress.It should be noted that the second characteristic number after IP is 6 and below. As the number becomes larger, the test gradually becomes stricter.In other words, an LED display screen marked IPX6 can also pass the tests of IPX5, IPX4, IPX3, IPX2, IPX1, and IPX0.

The second characteristic number after IP is 7 or 8, and the test type is 6 or below.In other words, being marked as IPX7 or IPX8 does not mean that it meets the requirements of IPX6 and IPX5 at the same time.LED displays that meet both IPX7 and IPX6 requirements can be marked as IPX7/IPX6.
