1. Wire plug connector appearance
(1) The air tightness test was carried out this time on two common wire plug connectors on the market. Their plugs are irregular rectangular parallelepipeds with two contact metals on the head. The shell material is made of anti-leakage material. There is no obvious gap at the joint with the connecting wire, and the airtightness is good;
(2) Such an appearance cannot directly test the air tightness of the wire plug connector, and the wire is in contact with the connector, which is detrimental to the detection;

(2) For the special shape of the wire plug connector, we customized a special mold for it, and made a special groove for the wire on the mold. When the wire plug connector is put into the mold, it snaps just right. In this way, the upper and lower molds are closed during inspection, which can effectively maintain the sealing of the inspection. When the tooling fills the mold with gas, it can maintain the internal saturation state, which is beneficial to inspection;

Put the two wire plug connectors into the two tooling molds and connect them to our instrument. There is a valve island, gas tank and other components inside the instrument as well as the program we have set. After the connection, press the start button when testing the wire.
During testing, the instrument inflates the mold.If the wire connector is not sealed and air leakage occurs, the leakage value displayed in the instrument will become larger and larger, and the pressure value will decrease at the same time.At this time, it can be determined whether the wire connector is leaking, and the instrument test result will also show NG, which means the air tightness test failed.If the tested wire connector does not leak, the gas in the tooling mold will be in a constant state after inflation. The pressure value and leakage value displayed on the instrument are also stable. The instrument test result will display OK, indicating that the air tightness test has passed.
