A quality breakthrough for an automatic transmission manufacturer
Project background:
During the mass production of its 8AT automatic transmission, a leading domestic gearbox manufacturer faced the problem of a high rate of misjudgment of leakage in the final inspection of the assembly, which seriously affected delivery efficiency.
Technical challenges:
The traditional pressure difference method is significantly affected by temperature fluctuations, and the misjudgment rate exceeds 5%.
It is difficult to locate the leakage point, and the average repair time is as long as 2 hours.
Unable to meet the production line inspection cycle requirement of 45 seconds
Solution:
Deployed the Heris online helium mass spectrometry leak detection system, equipped with automatic docking tooling and robot transmission system, to achieve 100% online detection of the gearbox assembly.
Implementation results:
The detection accuracy rate has been increased to 99.9%, and the false positive rate has been reduced to less than 0.1%.
Repair time is shortened to within 30 minutes, and efficiency is increased by 75%
Perfectly matches the 45-second production line rhythm, increasing production capacity by 20%
Annual quality cost reduced by approximately RMB 2.8 million
